Samosir Island In indonesia


Samosir Island is a volcanic island in the middle of Lake Toba in North Sumatra province. An island within an island with an altitude of 1,000 meters above sea level makes this island into an island that attract tourists.
Tuktuk is central to the concentration of tourists on the island of Samosir. From Parapat, Tuktuk can be connected with the ferry crossings. Besides water transportation, Samosir Island can also be reached overland through Pangururan which became a place where Samosir Island and the island of Sumatra in touch.
Samosir Island itself is located within the territory of the newly divided Samosir regency in 2003 from ex-Toba Samosir regency.
In this island there are also two small lakes as a recreational area of Lake and Lake Aek Natonang Sidihoni who got the nickname "the lake above the lake."
