Bali Island Named Best in the World by New York Magazine
Travel warning issued by several countries, including the United States, it did not affect the interests of U.S. citizens to travel to enjoy the beauty and comfort of Bali. It was evident from the Island of the Gods dinobatkannya back as The World's Best Island for the eighth time - or has been six years in a row - by a leading U.S. tourism magazine Travel + Leisure.
Travel + Leisure magazine readers have an initial circulation of one million copies.
On the evening reception held at The Morgan Library Museum, New York on Monday night (July 23, 2007) present some of the chief foreign representative, among others, Consul General of Indonesia, Consul General of Ecuador, Consulate General of Thailand, in addition to the tourism industry from across the globe.
Consulate General of Indonesia in New York Trie Edi Mulyani, who represented Indonesia receive the award directly to the event hosted by chief editor and publisher of July Novogrod Nacy Mc Gowan from Travel + Leisure Magazine.
Selection is the reader survey results based on a number of specific criteria. For the world's best island, for example, the criteria set forth include: natural attraction, activities / sights, restaurants / food, people, value.
On these criteria, Bali obtained the highest score (86.30) after Maui (86.22) in second place, Kauai (85.92) in third, and even Hawaii (84.40), which ranks only ninth.
Several other category winners were: - World's Best Cities (overall: Florence, Asia: Bangkok); - World's Best Hotels (overall: Oberoi Udaivilas, India); - World Best Airlines (Singapore Airlines) - World's Best Spa (Continental U.S. and Canada: Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole, Wyoming).
